YOGAda'
'Damyata datta dayadhvam'
"The heavenly voice of the thunder repeats this teaching.
Da - da - da!
Be self-controlled! Give! Be compassionate!"
Chapter V - Brihadaranyaka Upanishad
"If you practise Yoga Nidra,
then the nature of your mind can be changed
and your creative genius can be restored."
Swami Satyananda Saraswati
Can Yoga help the CReaTive Mind?
Has your CRaAtivE GenIUS dried up?!!
Poem
"Dedicated to the science, art and magic of Yoga"
"To twist ourselves
to stand still, unyielding
agaist the wind.
Intertwine breath and movement
to then free them and watch them err
and forget
that they belong and are
Siamese twins, sharing a heart.
Together the bridge towards higher places,
divided only a corpse and a broken hearted half.
And maybe see them meet again
not to go astray, not to forget
but spontaneously, through the warm blood
in their veins,
Reconnect.
To draw with our sinews a pattern through stars
moulding our bodies in the all embracing dark
and deep inside...
becoming hard still and heavy
like a hard and naked stone

the steepest mountain side
and love each bloody bump and the whole ride.
To learn to play the violin
with the corner of the eye
and contemplating silence
with the mind."
Whatever your field is, creativity needs similar conditions to blossom. Pressure, chaos and overload of information are the biggest enemies of the creative process.
You are struggling to unlock that door, find the magic key...but what if there isn't anything to add and simply lots to take away?
What if creativity is simply begging for more silence,
more s p a c e,
less clutter in your mind?
MEDITATION AND YOGA NIDRA
Yoga is a scientific process of systematically stripping away layers. It is choosing to de-clutter your mind. Creativity is the hidden gem revealing the unique person in every one of us. It is there, we just need to cut the weeds and free it.
Yoga Nidra opens the doors to our deeper (subconscious and unconscious) mind, at the root of creativity. It is a guided relaxation technique which awakens the receptivity of the mind.
The science of Yoga Nidra is based on the receptivity of consciousness. When consciousness is operating with the intellect and all the senses, we think we are awake and aware, but the mind is actually less receptive and more critical. We need to go beyond our rational mind, beyond the senses to reach into our untapped potential.
Yoga Nidra is practised lying down, in total stillness, simply listening to the instructions given. Depending on your personality and specific situation in life, you might find this the right tool for you to start de-cluttering your mind or you might find different guided meditations more suitable for you.
Even a very active yoga practice could be just what you need to start with if you were struggling with stillness and needed a little help to get there.

"Yoga is One,
and still there are so many
It adapts to you,
and still retains its soul
Whether you are old or young, pregnant or not,
on a wheel chair or moving at high speed on your feet,
There is a Yoga for you,
and when she finds you...
Your mind will be clear,
open and sharp, you body
light and strong,
and so will your heart"
